A jack of all trades, Jock McPherson had a wild and varied career as a writer, soldier, fisherman, publisher and PR man. His passion however, was winemaking. He planted his first vineyard in 1968, eventually passing it on to his only son Andrew.

Varietal composition – 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot

Colour – Deep, rich red with a lovely purple hue.

Nose – Chocolate and Mint.

Palate – Full flavoured, fleshy, fruit laden palate with rich, ripe berries.

A great all-rounder, this classic blend is the perfect partner for char-grilled rib eye with pepper sauce and also works brilliantly with rich, rustic, tomato based pasta dishes.
