Description and specs
Originally released for the Travel Retail market, this is a 2009 vintage Bruichladdich single malt Scotch whisky, made using Bere (pronounced ‘bear’) barley grown on Orkney.
Bere barley has a much lower yield than other varieties that you’re more likely to see in whisky production.
Grown on Weyland Watersfield, Richmond Villa, Quoyberstane and Northfield Farms on Orkney.
“I think when this distillate starts to hit 12 -15 it will be totally outstanding. I really hope they filled some refill barrels and hoggies with this juice! Probably some of the best ‘young’ whisky on the market.” – Serge, Whisky Fun
