Historic McLaren Vale s undulating slopes and rich Terra Rossa soil combined with its warm, dry climate has proven ideal for growing fine Malbec. Deep and intense purple colour with aromas of black cherries and violet. A juicy mid-palate consisting of ripe plums and liquorice is intertwined with soft tannins leading to a long lingering finish.

You’ll find Malbec a great match for steak, pork, and lamb, as well as fattier fish like salmon and poultry with dark meat. Game meat like bison, ostrich, and venison are also a safe bet. In addition to meat pairings, consider foods with richer sauces or more vibrant flavours.
