Larceny Barrel Proof offers a new opportunity to experience our acclaimed wheated Bourbon mashbill in its purest form: non-chill filtered and bottled at full barrel proof. Released three times per year in January, May, and September, each offering is a bold yet balanced special Small Batch Bourbon rich with depth and distinction. Much like Larceny Small Batch and Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond, Larceny Barrel Proof is a welcome reminder of just how good wheated Bourbons can be.

Age: 6-8 years old.

Tasting Notes:

Colour: Dark sepia.

Aroma: Toasted bread, with maple and cinnamon.

Taste: Rich molasses coats the tongue, with notes of fig and hazelnut.

Finish: Nuanced flavour fades into lingering warmth.

“The nose is pleasantly reminiscent of a pile of leaves drying in the sun, with notes of pinecone, cedar, nutmeg, clove, red apple and dark cherry. The palate is much more cherry-forward, with sharper flavors or clove mixed with vanilla, cornflakes cereal, and cinnamon embedded in a toffee-like richness in the midpalate. ” In many ways Batch B522 is in between Batch C921 and Batch A122, the two batches that immediately preceded it. For starters, B522 splits the difference in proof. It offers a fair amount of heat, but doesn t quite reach the same intensity as Batch A122.
