Our Notes
The famously troublesome Arneis (literally “little rascal” in the Piedmontese dialect) is most prominently cultivated in the Alpine foothills of Cuneo and surrounding areas of Northern Italy, and fares just as well in our own homegrown alps. As with Italian expressions, this is dry wine with an enchanting floral aroma, fresh pear apricot fruit, and some almond nuttiness.
Winemakers Comments
Arneis is a delicate Italian grape varietal, producing a complex style wine. Fragrant with flowers, spice and grassy aromas. It shows lifted flavours of pear, quince and almond kernel. Finishing with subtle acidity. Drink now. Pizzini is a family owned winery, specialising in wine made with Italian grape varieties.
About the Winery
Winemaking duo Fred and Katrina Pizzini, formerly well-respected grapegrowers for a variety of labels, have more recently brought their name and their sizeable vineyards to the Pizzini brand. Pizzini’s wines are made with a focus on varietal character, with Italian varieties and styles being a particular focus.
